Description Return to top of page

Quatech's MPAP-100 is a PC-Card 2.1 compliant Type-II PCMCIA card which adds a single multi-protocol serial interface to the host computer. The MPAP-100 provides a standard RS-232 interface and uses a Zilog 85230 compatible SCC which supports asynchronous, monosync, BISYNC, HDLC, and SDLC synchronous communication protocols.

The MPAP-100 provides software-Selectable 1024-byte data FIFOs for both transmit and receive operations. With the FIFOs enabled, data can be moved to and from the SCC in large blocks, providing for high data throughput and low interrupt overhead.

All necessary software is included to install and configure the card for use with DOS/Windows 3.x, and OS/2. An .inf file will be suplied for Windows 95 upon request only. In addition, Quatech's frame level HDLC and BISYNC driver, SYNCDRIVE, is included free. (SYNCDRIVE is not available for Windows 95.)
